Change Starts Here- Our Raleigh Expedition Volunteers for This Summer

Team Aam Dada

Aam Dada Gaun is a mixed community of Brahmin, Dalit and Newar ethnicity with 70 HHs.  There is an existing reservoir tank at the top of the village, and 19 community taps. The community taps are not enough for supply of water to 70 households. Often, they must queue up for more than half an hour. Raleigh volunteers will be working on building individual household tap stands along with water distribution pipeline.

Team Aam Dada has Viktorija, Jasan and Grant as Volunteer Managers along with Tajshana, Ryan, Rahim, Harry, Mckenzie, Seumas, Bibek, Talha and Yarnee as volunteers.

Team Pauwa

Pauwa community has 90 house-holds with a mix of Newar and Brahmin ethnicity. It lies on Phujel-4 of Gandaki rural municipality. There is an existing reservoir tank at the top of the village.

There are altogether 19 community taps which is insufficient to supply water to 90 house-holds. Major part of  Raleigh volunteers’ work will be focusing on building individual household tap stands, reservoir tank, along with water distribution pipeline.

Team Pauwa has Ankit and Au Leng as Volunteer Managers along with Sheuli, Zaria, Shani, Vaneesha, Aleston, Benjamin, Sean, Rajib and Suraj as volunteers

Team Jamuney

Jamuney is a mixed community of Newar and Dalit community. It lies at Darbung of Gandaki rural municipality and has 11 households which are yet to be benefitted by water scheme.   The community members have to collect water from the top hills. Our expedition volunteers will be working on building individual household tap stands along with water distribution pipeline.

Team Jamuney has Elizabeth, Ain and Lewis as Volunteer Managers and Catherine, Rojeena, Laura, Sarah, Kiran, Matthew, Justine, Annemijn, Margot and Pip as volunteers

Team Kera Bari

Kerabari has 12 households which lies at Darbung-5 of Gandaki Rural municipality. It is a Gurung ethnicity community. Kerabari community has one existing old tank that keeps on leaking. The water collected is insufficient for the households. Team Kera Bari volunteers will be working on building individual household tap stands, a water reservoir, along with water distribution pipeline.

Team Kerabari has Sangeeta, heather and Matus as Volunteer Managers and Jodie, Holly, Samikshya, Ellen, Sampurana, Oliver, George, Davidross, Anna, Tamsin and Molly as volunteers

Team Charkune Piple Dada

Charkune pipal dada is a Brahmin community with 16 households. It lies in Phujel-3 of Gandaki rural municipality.  Our volunteers will be working for building a proper Tap Stand, Water storage tank and pipeline for supplying water to the communty members of Charkune Pipal dada.

Charkune Piple Dada has Volunteer Managers Drew, Sunil and Jane along with volunteers Rajat, Ellen, Phoebe, Sabina, Matlida, Jan, Oliver, James, Eve, Sophie, Natasha, Clementine.

Trek Team

The Trek Team will be led by Volunteer Managers Richa, Peter and Sophie along with Lucchen, Sean, Kate, Jemma, Jasmine, Ashish, Will, Nanako, Madeleine, Anna, Leila and Eric will be volunteers.

The Team will start at Khahare Bazaar, travelling through Belung, Pokhara, Ladap Gaon to Megang danda. The route will see them descent over 2050m, passing through rural outskirts, communities and experiencing the most scenic, breathtaking and beautiful landscapes in Nepal.
