Raleigh International shortlisted at the Corporate Engagement Awards

In 2018 10 McCann Worldgroup UK employees shared their skills to train the next generation of young leaders in how to create, design and implement awareness raising campaigns that address environmental issues they face in their home communities. The programme was a real success, creating two youth-led campaigns in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, whilst laying the foundations and providing learnings for the 2019 programme in Tanzania.

Out of Office for Good represents the power of collaboration and teamwork to ignite youth-driven action that creates solutions to the world’s most urgent problems, in order to create a fair, inclusive and greener world. Collaboration was at the heart of this partnership, from the skills-based volunteering framework that was formulated in collaboration between Raleigh International staff members in both UK and Costa Rica, to the McCann volunteers working together as a team to devise the entire curriculum: session plans, learning outcomes and training resources for all sessions. For McCann this was an ideal programme to build their integration and collaboration between many different agencies within the group.

James Sutton, Raleigh’s Head of Corporate Partnerships, said:

“We are extremely excited to be shortlisted for the Corporate Engagement Awards 2020. The nomination is a testament to the vision and fantastic effort of everyone involved, pulling together a wide variety of skills and strengths from across the team to create a programme we are all incredibly proud of. We want to thank everyone from McCann Worldgroup UK, Raleigh International and the skills-based volunteers as this recognition would not be possible without them. We look forward to the winners being announced in November”.

The Corporate Engagement Awards recognise the most successful and innovative corporate partnerships and sponsorships, and the communication strategies around those collaborations. The winner of the awards will be announced at a ceremony in November.
