Alpha 7 are currently trekking in the jungle surrounding the remote village of Long Pasia. Here's a brief update of how they are getting on.

Having successfully completed their diving courses, the Alpha 7 team made the journey to Long Pasia to begin the next stage of their adventure - trekking! Long Pasia is a remote village in the far south of Sabah on the border with Indonesia and is the base for Raleigh Borneo’s adventure phase. The surrounding jungle provides venturers with a challenging trek environment in which to build confidence, develop team-working skills and gain leadership experience.

Alpha 7 arrived safely and met their lead guide Fam who has been teaching them essential jungle skills such as making fires to cook on, how to put up hammock beds and survival skills such as which plants they can use to supplement their meals. The team have enjoyed the mostly dry weather and reached Maga Falls two days ago. Their rest day at Maga coincided with project manager Rachel's birthday so the group celebrated with a trip to the waterfall and swimming in the river. They are now trekking back towards Long Pasia, no doubt very much looking forward to a shower and dinner at their homestays on Wednesday evening.

As the team are currently deep in the jungle we do not have any images, however when they return to basecamp on Thursday I will share photos of their adventures.
