Raleigh trustee Amy Holmes receives OBE

Congratulations to our Trustee Amy Holmes, Director of Better Regulation, EU and International policy at the UK’s Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra). Amy was awarded the OBE for services to Public Administration in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

Amy is one of our esteemed alumni, having served as a project manager and Deputy Programme Manager in Borneo in 2008 and 2009. As a senior civil servant at Defra, Amy has lead a series of projects to ensure the sustainable development of our marine environment within the UK and across Europe and has had a wide ranging career across the Department’s responsibilities and Whitehall.
