Our campaign

Young people are already leading the way and taking action. But they need our support. Action Not Excuses will link up young people across the world to take action for a fair, inclusive and green world and confront the planet’s most urgent crises. Together we will support 100,000 young people to create new green jobs, lead the fightback against waste and pollution, and plant 10 million trees. To tackle the climate emergency and build back better we need Action Not Excuses.

Working with 50,000 young people to create new green jobs to help us build back better. Before the pandemic, a lack of jobs and income was one of the major issues for young people globally. The problem is getting worse. Together we will support 50,000 young people to take action that creates thousands of new green jobs.

Together we will support 75,000 young people to lead the fightback against waste, adopt sustainable consumption behaviours and promote alternatives.

Planting 10 million new trees and switching people to clean fuels. The planet is on fire. Forests are disappearing. This was true before the pandemic and the problem is getting worse. Stopping it is not enough. We must reverse it. Meet our Youth Champions

"I want young people to know that their voice is valuable. There are many who are voiceless – it is our duty to speak for them."

"Something as small as a litter pick on your own has the power to grow… and grow. If you are passionate about something, do something about it and you will see the results that come."

"Today’s young people are the first generation to truly acknowledge our climate problem. We are refusing to look the other way. And we are trying to make a change."
