At Raleigh, we believe that when young people and communities work alongside one another they are empowered to create lasting change.
We look for volunteers from around the world to create impact together regardless of age, background or culture. We have a number of opportunities for people to join us. It’s about finding the right programme and volunteer role for you!
Our adventurous expeditions bring together people from all over the world to create lasting change. You can join an expedition in Nicaragua & Costa Rica, Malaysian Borneo, Nepal or Tanzania. Anyone aged 17-75 can volunteer with us. (You can even apply when you are 16, providing you turn 17 whilst you’re on expedition).
Raleigh expeditions are life-changing for you and for others. They are an opportunity to work on remote community and environmental projects and face adventure challenges in some of the most incredible areas of the world.
Join us on an expedition as a volunteer if you’re aged 17-24 or help lead and support the expeditions as a volunteer manager if you are over 25.
International Citizen Service (ICS) is led by VSO and funded by the UK Government. ICS is a development programme that brings together young people from the UK and developing countries to volunteer in some of the poorest communities around the world.
Raleigh is working alongside other respected development organisations to deliver the ICS programme in over 30 countries. We deliver our ICS programmes in Nepal, Nicaragua and Tanzania. Teams are made up of volunteers of all backgrounds from the UK and from the local country.
We work on community based projects, which focus on improving people’s access to water and sanitation, and working with young entrepreneurs to create local businesses and build lasting change for them and their families.
Join us as a volunteer if you are aged 18-25 or as a Team Leader if you are aged 23-35.
