Raleigh is an Approved Activity Provider (AAP) for both the volunteering and the residential sections of the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Gold Award.
Raleigh Expedition and the Raleigh ICS programme meet the DofE sectional conditions and can count towards the achievement of a DofE Award.
Our DofE volunteering programme is a 12-month commitment that includes fundraising and training in the United Kingdom, 10–12 weeks volunteering overseas and community action on your return. You will be supported by Raleigh staff throughout the programme.
The residential section of the Gold Award is fulfilled by the induction week of your overseas placement. This is an exciting and enlightening residential training event that all Raleigh volunteers take part in once they arrive in their Expedition or Placement country.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award
Raleigh is also an International Trained Activity Provider for the residential section of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. So, international volunteers can also use a Raleigh programme to complete their Gold Award.
