Ready to apply? Here are a few points to read through before you start your application…
Step 1 – Read the small print
Before you sign up, it’s important you read our terms and conditions. They are a bit long but we want to ensure you know what to expect from the expedition so there are no surprises when you get started.
Step 2 – Check it’s safe for you to take part
We are able to support volunteers with lots of different medical needs and requirements. Please read our medical form. You don’t need to complete this form until you’ve applied for programme with us. If you have a concern or question about your ability to take part in one of our programmes, have a confidential chat with the Raleigh Medical Team before you apply on firstname.lastname@example.org or +44 (0) 207 183 1291.
Step 3 – Make sure Raleigh is for you
Raleigh operates a no alcohol and no drugs policy on our programmes. To understand why we do this, we ask you to read our Raleigh code of conduct in full before you apply to volunteer.
If you’re not from the UK, you will also need to check with the relevant embassy whether you’re eligible for a visa to enter your expedition country.
Step 4 – Get your payment details ready to go…
As part of your application, you’ll need to pay a non-refundable £200 deposit to reserve your place. This will count towards your final fundraising target. This deposit payment will not be processed until your application has been screened by our recruitment team and you have been selected for a place on expedition.
Step 5 – Apply online
This is an opportunity for us to get to know you! The application form gives us the chance to learn more about your understanding of Raleigh and why you want to join. It’s a chance for us to check whether a Raleigh expedition is the right opportunity for you.
