Throughout our 2017-2020 strategy period we have worked with young people across four programme areas.
YOUTH IN CIVIL SOCIETY
More than 12,000 young people worked with us as collaborators and initiators inspiring action on sustainable development.
YOUTH ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
7,625 young people developed entrepreneurship skills and started more than 2,000 micro-enterprises which give them sustained, safe, fair and dignified work opportunities.
WATER, SANITATION AND HYGIENE
102,622 people have long-lasting access to, and are using, safe and accessible WASH facilities.
CLIMATE AND CONSERVATION
Working with local communities, young people have planted 900,000 tree seedlings and built or rehabilitated more than 65km of trails and other conservation infrastructure, enabling more effective management of natural resources and greater community resilience.
Our 2020-21 Bridging Strategy and the new strategy (currently under development) are shaped by young people and will continue to keep them at the heart of everything we do.
