Gap year from UK or abroad

Up for a crash course in life?
The world is changing and so is the way we wish to explore it. Gap years are less about student trips and spending a summer abroad backpacking and more about voluntary work and adventure. That's where we come in.

To us, a gap year is no longer a ‘year out', but a chance to take a different route for a while, push ourselves in a new direction before continuing on our path, be it school, university or work. We run different length gap year expeditions throughout the year to fit your study or work patterns. But be warned our expeditions are no holiday. We like to think of them as a crash course in life!

Our gap year expeditions

We offer two core gap year expeditions, 10 weeks or 5 weeks in Borneo, Costa Rica & Nicaragua, or India

10 week expeditions
Join other venturers from all walks of life and volunteer on our unique 10 week gap year expedition. You'll spend 3 weeks on a community project, helping local communities with things we take for granted and another 3 weeks protecting the country's natural habitats and wildlife. The final 3 weeks is a tough mental and physical adventure battling nature's elements.

Too long? You can choose one project for 3 and a half weeks or two project phases for 7 weeks.

5 week expeditions
On our unique 5 week gap year expedition you'll combine either a 3 week community or environment project with an adventure challenge. This is an intense, adrenalin-fuelled 7 day experience of trekking, survival challenges and water-based activities

The projects
Whether providing villages in Nicaragua with their first drop of running water or conserving the elephant population in India, our projects are planned with local partners so you can get really involved with rural communities and habitats and spend your gap year volunteering to make a much needed difference.
