Venturer Manager FAQs
I was interested in becoming a Venturer Manager. Will I still have the opportunity to do this in the future?
At this moment in time we are not accepting applications for Venturer Manager roles. We cannot currently give any timeline on the possibility of Venturer Manager roles reopening for applications in the foreseeable future.
I am 25+, how can I get involved in Raleigh now?
Raleigh Expedition is currently open for applications for young people age 18-24.
If you are a Raleigh Alumni, there are tons of opportunities for you to continue to engage with Raleigh International. Alumni opportunities can be found on our Alumni webpage.
We are also currently in the development phase of a new Expedition Alumni Programme. While this programme is in its very early stages, we have an open consultation about the design of an Alumni Expedition. If you are a Raleigh Alumni, you are very welcome to complete our Alumni Expedition survey and provide your input.

Will Venturers on Expedition still receive the same amount of support on their programmes as before?
By removing Venturer Managers in favour of local support staff, we categorically are not reducing the support that our Venturers will receive on Expedition. In fact, we believe this change will improve the support that they receive on their programme.
National Project Coordinators bring deep, first-hand knowledge of the environments, communities, and cultures in which our Expeditions take place. We believe they are best placed to create the kind of meaningful, high-impact experiences that sit at the heart of the Raleigh Expedition.
Specifically, we expect this change to result in:
- Clearer communication with local project partners, enabling stronger working relationships and more effective delivery on the ground.
- Richer Expedition experiences for Venturers, shaped by PCs with genuine knowledge of the areas, communities and ecosystems they are working in.
- Improved safety, particularly in the event of an emergency, where local lived experience and established community networks are invaluable.
