EXPEDITION ROLE (25+)

Health & Wellbeing Coordinator

Support young people with their mental health and wellbeing throughout Expedition ensuring they feel safe and secure in an environment outside of their comfort zone.

Health & Wellbeing Coordinator role

As a Health & Wellbeing Coordinator on Expedition working directly with our 18 – 24-year-old venturers support them throughout Expedition and ensure their mental health and overall well-being are being supported during the challenges of the Expedition.  You will be based at Fieldbase alongside other Fieldbase volunteer staff (such as Logistics roles and Content Creators) and our full time staff.

You will focus solely on supporting the mental health and wellbeing of all Venturers and Venturer Managers on programme. This starts with delivering the mental health & wellbeing training during induction, as well as continuously reviewing support plans, taking pastoral support calls and assessing and managing risk to harm.

You will need to be able to communicate clearly with a range of different people, from staff members, young people to community members. You will work closely with the medical support on programme to assess where physical health is involved.
