EXPEDITION ROLE

Content Creator and Photographer

Work side-by-side with young people to generate exciting, engaging, and high-quality content and photography.

The Content Creator and Photographer role

A Raleigh Expedition is full of so many special moments worth capturing!

As a Content Creator & Photographer on Raleigh Expedition, you are the key storyteller on the ground. You’ll use your skills in photography, videography, and social media to capture the real experiences of young people on Expedition and bring them to life for global audiences.

You’ll work independently and collaboratively, capturing powerful visuals, crafting social content, and building a bank of photos, videos, and stories to support Raleigh’s communications. From reels and TikToks to blogs and case studies, your content will inspire others to start their own journey with Raleigh.

To capture content, you will spend much of your time in rural communities on project and on trek to capture first-hand the moments which make our Expeditions special. You will also have some time back at Fieldbase to share your content with the Raleigh Communications team and to plan your content gathering.

This role is best suited for those confident using multiple media channels – from photography through to using Instagram and TikTok. Your social media content, videos, photography and blogs will bring our programmes to life online and inspire others to start their adventure.

Please note that Content Creator and Photographer role is highly competitive. We will consider applications for this role from age 21.

“There was adventure at every turn, and a synchronisation with the powerful simplicity of rural outdoor living, which had a positive impact on my physical and mental disposition. The friends I made through Raleigh are another highlight – their dedication to the work was inspiring as well as their determination to create a positive change to the lives of others.””

You’ll also be on the duty roster, handling incoming calls from project sites. You’ll sleep in the dorm rooms and be cooking your own food.

“I got a real overview of the projects and communities we’re working in and how we’re making a difference for so many people. The best bit was being able to meet people in the community.
