EXPEDITIONS
IMPACT THAT
OUTLASTS
EXPEDITION.
Raleigh Expeditions work alongside communities and partners to create
meaningful change — while helping young people understand their
role in making it happen.

OUR APPROACH
IMPACT STARTS
WITH HOW WE
WORK.
Raleigh’s impact is not about sending young people somewhere and completing tasks. Real change comes from how projects are designed, how Venturers are prepared, and how outcomes are measured.
01
WORK WITH COMMUNITIES
Projects are developed with communities, local leaders and partners around real needs — not dropped in for the afternoon. Communities have ownership of every initiative.
02
PREPARE OUR VENTURERS
Venturers receive preparation and training so they understand the context, responsibilities and challenges involved — from pre-departure through induction
in-country.
03
MEASURE AND IMPROVE
Projects have defined objectives and are reviewed to understand what is working and where impact can be strengthened. Full-time Raleigh staff and experienced
teams are on the ground throughout.
WHERE IT MATTERS
YOUR EXPEDITION
CAN HELP CREATE
CHANGE WHERE IT'S
NEEDED MOST.
Raleigh Venturers contribute to community development and environmental conservation — working with local partners on projects that last beyond the expedition.

The numbers
tell part of the
story.
Behind every statistic is a community, a partner and Venturers working together on something tangible.

RESILIENCE NEAR
KRUGER
WHAT WAS NEEDED
Sustained underdevelopment and unemployment pose key challenges for communities
near Kruger National Park — with limited access to educational facilities and sustainable
livelihoods.
WHAT CHANGED
Working with partner Nourish, venturers supported construction of educational facilities,
vegetable gardens and engagement with students at the Nourish Eco Village —
collectively contributing over 550 project hours across expedition cycles.
WHAT WE DID
Improved facilities at the community centre supporting 400+ students, environmental
lessons and reading classes through the Green Kidz club, and vegetable gardens
supporting a local feeding programme.
