EXPEDITIONS
Get
hands-on.
Build practical skills by doing real work in real places.
THE REAL SKILL
Learn by
doing.
Some things only stick when you’ve done them yourself. On Expedition, you learn by building, navigating, solving problems and taking responsibility — not by sitting in a classroom.

HOW IT BUILDS
Practical.
Purposeful.
Expedition gives you the chance to learn skills that matter because you’ve actually
used them.
01
FIRST AID & SAFETY
Know what to do when things don’t go to plan.
During induction, you’ll be taught the safety skills essential for each phase of the Expedition. This will include: emergency procedures, equipment handling and incident response.
02
CONSTRUCTION & BUILDING
Work on real, long-standing projects.
Learn from local tradespeople. Use tools, material and problem-solve to get projects delivered. You could be laying bricks, building structures or digging foundations.
03
HABITAT RESTORATION
Put your hands to work for the environment.
You’ll be planting, clearing, restoring and contributing to real conservation data that partners and researchers rely on. Your work could include propagation, invasive species removal and biological monitoring.
04
PLANNING & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Organise people, manage tasks and adapt when things changes.
As a Day Leader on Trek and through participation in project strategy sessions, you’ll practise the kind of structured thinking that translates directly into professional environments: setting objectives, delegating tasks, adapting when things change, and reviewing progress honestly.
05
NAVIGATION & SURVIVAL SKILLS
Navigate terrain, manage equipment and make decisions in the field.
The Endurance Trek demands practical self-sufficiency. You’ll learn to read terrain, manage your kit, ration supplies and keep a team moving safely across challenging ground.
06
HEALTH & FITNESS
Build the strength to keep going.
Expedition life is physically demanding from day one, and weeks on project and trek help you build serious strength and stamina that will stay with you on your return home.
SKILLS YOU CAN
ACTUALLY USE.
The point isn’t to collect a list of skills. It’s to leave knowing you can walk into an
unfamiliar situation, figure things out and contribute.
THINK ON YOUR FEET
Make decisions when there isn’t an obvious answer.
SOLVE REAL PROBLEMS
Turn challenges into something you can work through.
TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
Be trusted with work that actually matters.
STAY CAPABLE
Keep moving when situations get unfamiliar or difficult.

changes you.
