START 2027
ON RALEIGH.
Make 2027 your year of transformation by kicking off with a Raleigh Expedition. Prove your self on our Cycle 1 Expedition, running February – April 2027, on either a 4, 5, 7 or 10 week Expedition.
In Malaysian Borneo, Costa Rica, and South Africa, rise to the challenge to prove your capabilities on Expeditions that offer our three core Challenge Phases.
From June 2027, we will offer 8 and 4-week Expeditions only.
COMMUNITY · ENVIRONMENT · TREK
01
COMMUNITY ACTION.
The Community Phase is your chance to turn hard graft into real impact through collaboration with local communities.
You’ll spend up to two weeks off-grid, totally immersed in a new culture and contributing to locally led-projects. It’ll be tough – days will be long, the work will be hard – but you’ll step up, you’ll adapt and you’ll go further than you thought possible.
This is a chance to be part of something bigger.
Construction Skills Technical training from local partners Project development & planning Problem-solving with limited resources
02
ENDURANCE TREK.
Rough terrain. Early starts. Long days that demand everything of you — physically, mentally, emotionally. This is where you find out what you’re made of.
The trek is where your Expedition becomes a real and unmatched adventure. Everything you need is on your back. For several weeks you’ll move through landscapes most people only ever see in photos — fording rivers, climbing steep peaks, crossing plains with no roads in sight. Camp moves with you: a different spot each night, sleeping under the stars, your team around the fire.
You’ll navigate, you’ll decide, you’ll lead, and by the end you’ll have covered a serious distance, physically and mentally.
Orienteering & route-finding and planning Survival, first aid & camp craft skills Physical fitness techniques Leadership & decision-making under fatigue
03
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION.
Biodiversity is under real pressure. The impacts of poaching, invasive species and land clearing harm the natural world faster than it can recover. You’ll get hands-on and do something about it: planting trees, monitoring wildlife cameras, clearing snares, all while learning from expert rangers and researchers who work in the field.
You’ll be off-grid. No signal, no shortcuts back to normal life — just you, your team and raw nature. You’ll camp on site, in the wild, among the nature you’re there to protect. Alongside local experts you’ll pick up real field skills: identifying wildlife, observing camera trap data, removing invasive plant species — these are hard skills you only get from field action.

You’ll receive essential training on topics like health and safety, wildlife briefings, information about project objectives and cultural awareness.
19 DAYS
COMMUNITY ACTION
Become immersed in the community you’re working in, expanding your perspectives while learning a new way of life and teaming up with them on solutions to local challenges. Early start – breakfast in the field – on site before the heat builds. You’ll be briefed on today’s objectives, today’s teams. You’ll work in groups alongside community members, mixing concrete, laying foundations, raising walls, finishing roofs. Midday break. Afternoon session. Evening debrief led by the Day Leader.
2-3 DAYS
CHANGEOVER
At the end of each phase, everyone returns to Fieldbase for a few days before moving on to your next Phase. You’ll catch up with the rest of the Expedition team and start to prepare. Groups will change between each phase, this is an important part of the Expedition experience.
19 DAYS
ENDURANCE TREK
On trek, every day is different. You could be covering up to 260km through varying terrain. You’ll master skills in navigation and orienteering, as well as camp cooking and wilderness survival. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Jungle, rainforest, savannah – this is life off the tourist trail, hard to find on a map. It’s an early start. Start with a morning briefing from your expert guide, where you’ll set your objectives and action plan for the day. Expect river crossings, hacking through vegetation to get to site. You might be clearing invasive species from degraded farmland, re-planting native species along a restoration corridor, pulling snares from the bush, or conducting a wildlife monitoring survey. Your day ends with an evening debrief and setting the. plan for tomorrow.
Conservation experts will guide you along the way, giving you the knowledge to understand what you’re doing on the ground and why it matters.
2 DAYS
ENDEX
All Expeditions end with everyone coming together for a final few days back at Fieldbase. Catch up with friends and celebrate all you have achieved together.
