Marketing Manager

Raleigh International is looking to recruit a Marketing Manager. This role requires a track record of planning and delivering successful marketing activity, the ability to lead and inspire a team and a passion for marketing to youth audiences.

The Marketing Manager will be focused on identifying opportunities to reach young people and their influencers as well as potential volunteer managers to raise awareness about Raleigh’s volunteering programmes. Your aim is to inspire them at both the brand level and the programme level so that they have a strong desire to get involved with Raleigh.

The role is responsible for the articulation and implementation of the marketing strategy for UK and international expedition volunteers and leaders. You’ll be ensuring your team develops and delivers annual plans across a variety of platforms.

Senior Training Officer

Raleigh International is recruiting for a Senior Training Officer to lead day to day delivery and of our UK based assessment and training events, reporting to Training Manager. As well as managing the organisation of events, the role also requires regular delivery of assessment and training sessions to volunteers, alongside Raleigh International’s team of in-house and associate trainers. The job also includes supporting the Training Manager with the development of Raleigh’s assessment and training programme. Applicants will need excellent management and organisational skills, as well as strong interpersonal and facilitation skills. Previous event management, learning programme development, and Raleigh or similar overseas experience would be an advantage.

Trainer Facilitator – 4 days per week

Raleigh International is recruiting for a Trainer Facilitator to join the training team. The role requires delivery of UK based assessment and training events to volunteers. They will focus on delivery of residential assessment weekends for overseas volunteer managers on Raleigh’s expedition programme. Proven experience managing outdoor / experiential education programmes and volunteer staff is key, as is sound experience of managing safety and risk in this setting. Applicants will need excellent training and facilitation skills and experience engaging diverse groups of young people. Applicants will need to have a very positive, enthusiastic and flexible attitude, and strong organisational and logistical skills. Previous Raleigh overseas experience or equivalent at volunteer leader level would be an advantage. Ideal candidates will have further experience delivering programmes for young people with fewer opportunities, facilitating cross cultural awareness, active citizenship and personal development sessions. Regular weekend and evening working required.

Country Director, Borneo

Raleigh International is looking to recruit a Country Director for our operations in Borneo, Malaysia. The role provides strategic leadership of our programme in Malaysia in accordance with the overarching organisational strategy, the country strategy 2017-2020 and relevant policies, processes and standards. This role will manage the country leadership team to establish, build, represent and lead all aspects of the Country programme; overseeing risk and reputation management for Raleigh in Borneo. The Country Director has responsibility for strategic planning and implementation; programme development, implementation and reporting; fundraising and finance and resource management.

Programmes Officer

The Programmes Officer provides support and guidance across Raleigh’s operating countries to ensure high quality implementation of programmes that meets organisational and donor requirements. You will also be responsible for ensuring relevant programmatic information is shared effectively and efficiently across the organisation. You will also be working with the Programmes Development Manager to develop new programmes and projects.
We are looking for a qualified Programme Officer with demonstrable interest in the field of international development. You must have experience in the use of monitoring and evaluation tools, working knowledge of logical framework methodology, and proven analytical skills. You will also have experience of report writing, and have advanced IT skills (Excel spreadsheets and database software).

Volunteer Delivery Intern

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic with a keen eye for detail to provide administrative support to Raleigh’s Volunteer Delivery Team. The team are responsible for guiding Raleigh volunteers and from their initial sign up through their pre departure journey until their departure onto an overseas programme. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop or diversify their skills and experience in office administration and team working, whilst learning about working in the charity sector.
