Head of Marketing and Volunteer Recruitment (maternity cover)

International Resources Manager (maternity cover)

The International Resources Manager is responsible for developing the recruitment strategy and workforce planning so that the appropriate people are working overseas delivering our programmes; is also responsible for meeting income targets related to the volunteer leader positions in line with the budget. He/she will manage the International Resources team (2 line reports).
Ideal candidates will have experience of developing teams (including performance management & appraisals) and recruiting staff and volunteers; experience of meeting financial targets and managing budgets. He/she will need to have awareness of safety-related issues and proven experience in operational management, including experience in risk / crisis management. Applicants will need a track record in management reporting and analysing data to identify and monitor trends, and strong IT Skills (database, Microsoft office suite).

Country Director, Nicaragua & Costa Rica

Raleigh International is looking to recruit a Country Director for our operations in Nicaragua & Costa Rica.
The role provides strategic leadership of our programme in Nicaragua & Costa Rica in accordance with the overarching organisational strategy, the country strategy 2017-2020 and relevant policies, processes and standards.
This role will manage the country leadership team to establish, build, represent and lead all aspects of the Country programme; overseeing risk and reputation management for Raleigh in Nicaragua & Costa Rica.
The Country Director has responsibility for strategic planning and implementation; programme development, implementation and reporting; fundraising and finance and resource management.

Senior Communications and Media Officer

We’re looking for a great writer and editor, someone who can respond to a crisis and get stories of the impact of our work into the media.

Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Senior Communications and Media Officer will focus on driving the charity’s media activities to articulate the wider messages about Raleigh’s work in an engaging and inspiring way.

You will be responsible for drafting content for web and social media as well as editing and producing Raleigh’s print publications including the Impact Report and alumni publication Connections.

You will manage the Communications Coordinator, whose role focuses on gaining regional media coverage.

Evidence of excellent writing and editing skills is essential, as is knowledge of working with the UK national, regional and specialist media.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrable verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to write and edit to a high standard, including experience of managing, collating and writing organisational publications
• Experience of managing both reactive enquiries – including in a crisis – and gaining proactive, high-level media coverage using both strategic planning and plenty of initiative and creativity
• Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels including journalists
• Commitment to the aims, ethos and culture of Raleigh International
