Overseas paid opportunities

Inclusion Consultant: Tanzania

On 1st April 2018, Raleigh Tanzania and partner organisation Integrity Action began implementation of an exciting new project, Social Accountability through Youth (SAY), which seeks to empower young people and excluded groups in 179 rural communities to hold project implementers to account.

Raleigh will endeavour to ensure that SAY is implemented with a high level of inclusion, both with regard to the young people directly engaged to deliver the project and to the wider community. We are committed to upholding an approach that incorporates a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) methodology in all aspects of project delivery. To make this possible, we must first understand the barriers faced by people at risk of inclusion.

With this in mind, we are seeking a consultant to assess what vulnerable groups exist in the areas in which we are working, what the barriers to inclusion are for these groups, and how we can address these through SAY to ensure inclusion as fully as possible. We are looking to engage a consultant based in Tanzania to undertake the exercise.
