Global Programme Development Manager

Raleigh International is recruiting an experienced Global Programme Development Manager; this is an exciting opportunity to fulfil a key management role as the global lead on developing and designing Raleigh’s Programmes that capitalise on Raleigh’s organisational niche and ensuring the successful achievement of Raleigh’s 2017-20 Strategy Goals.

The ideal candidate should be motivated to lead on:
• New programme development across all countries and all thematic programme areas
• Designing projects to meet the requirements of Raleigh’s beneficiaries, stakeholders and donors in the UK and overseas
• Developing and maintaining efficient processes between Programmes, Country teams and Fundraising
• Managing the opportunity matching and bid development function within Raleigh’s Head Office structure
• Supporting the development of strong working relationships with external partners
• The annual strategic review and refinement development of Raleigh’s thematic plans
• Strengthening programme design and development skills across Raleigh

To be successful you must have:
• Substantial experience and proven track record as a senior manager in programme development, and securing programme funding
• Substantial experience of influencing at a senior level, and raising funds from institutional and/or corporate donors including DFID, other governmental and corporate institutions and foundations
• Programmatic experience in at least two of Raleigh’s strategic priority themes
• Strong knowledge of project cycle management including problem analysis, project design, financial planning/management, monitoring and evaluation
• In-depth understanding on development of strategies and building of annual plans of action
• In-depth understanding and application of logical frameworks and Theories of Change concepts
• Understanding of changing philanthropic and accountability landscape and donor reporting
• Strong budgeting knowledge and financial management skills

International Resources Coordinator

Raleigh International is recruiting an International Resources Coordinator to support the Safety & International Operational Support (SIOS) team at Raleigh head office with particular focus on the recruitment of leaders on Raleigh’s programmes. Responsibilities will include responding to enquiries, providing specific and detailed information about our programmes and the requirements of different leadership roles, providing excellent customer care to maximize leader applications, and supporting the SIOS team as a whole wherever necessary.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to a wide range of enquiries, applicants and volunteers
• Ability to manage varied workloads, take initiative, problem solve and use methodical working practices
• Enthusiastic and energetic personality who has a 'can do' attitude and a positive and flexible approach to work
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments
• Willingness to attend evening or weekend activities and a flexible approach to the hours worked to meet the demands of the role

Communications Intern – Video

Are you keen to gain experience in charity communications? Are you passionate about video and keen to use your skills to repurpose existing footage and create new pieces to support the work of a sustainable development charity? Are you keen to learn about the workings of a multi-disciplined communications team and support all members, from PR to graphic design?

This role is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a charity with multiple requirements for video. We’re looking for someone with demonstrable skills in shooting and editing film, as well as a drive to develop and grow our video resources. The fresh and engaging online and offline pieces you repurpose and produce will communicate Raleigh’s unique brand story about lasting change through youth. They will potentially appear in a range of places, from our training days to our social media channels. You will also provide comprehensive and high-quality support to all members of the six-person communications team, which includes website, graphic design, PR and content.

Essential
• Experience of shooting and editing video
• A portfolio/reel/examples of work
• Good organisational skills and able to manage own time and workload
• Understanding of, and empathy with, the overall aims and ethos of Raleigh International

Trust Fundraising Officer

Are you a confident and persuasive communicator? Are you passionate about sustainable development and committed to making a positive and long-lasting impact through youth?

Raleigh International is recruiting a Trust Fundraising Officer to work closely with the Trust Fundraising Manager and to grow income from trusts and foundations; pro-actively cultivating and stewarding relationships with Raleigh International’s current and prospective Trust donors. The post-holder will play an important role in the Fundraising Team, responsible for delivering Raleigh International’s new funding strategy, funding projects across our thematic areas and operational countries worldwide to support the delivery of the Global Goals.

Essential Skills and Experience
• Experience of fundraising from trusts and foundations or similar
• Experience of application and report writing for a donor audience or similar
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills – with ability to adapt styles and convey confidence and credibility
• Demonstrable research and analytical skills
• Excellent organisational and administration skills
• A good knowledge of standard Microsoft packages

Desirable Skills and Experience
• Experience of working or volunteering in the development sector and/or an understanding of overseas development issues
• Knowledge of customer database administration and experience of using the NetSuite CRM system
