Global Programme Development Manager

Are you passionate about programmes which place young people at the heart of global change? Do you have the ideas, skills and experience to lead a small team in developing ideas and designing programmes which capitalise on Raleigh’s niche and help ensure the successful achievement of our new strategic goals?

This is a new, exciting and key management role. As the Global Programme Development Manager (GPDM) you will:
• Develop new programme ideas across our countries of operation and thematic areas which meet the needs of target groups, stakeholders and donors
• Use your experience to improve the efficiency and quality of programme across the organisation
• Manage opportunity matching and bid development functions, helping to maximise cost recovery across the organisation
• Support the development of strong relationships with strategic partners and donors.

An experienced programme development professional, you will demonstrate experience:
• as a manager in programme development and of influencing at a senior level
• of raising funds from institutional, trust and foundation and/ or corporate donors
• at least two of Raleigh’s strategic priority themes
• of delivering quality, complex project logical frameworks, theories of change and budgets.

Senior Content Officer

Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator

Are you a self-starter with an enthusiastic and flexible attitude, who likes chatting to customers on the phone? Do you have excellent administration skills and attention to detail?

A key role has opened up at Raleigh International in the Volunteer Recruitment Team, for a confident and positive applicant to become our Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator.

This role is responsible to the Volunteer Recruitment Manager, and is the main point of contact for organisation-wide enquiries and young volunteers (17-25). This is an essential role in the Volunteer Recruitment Team, helping young people to decide whether Raleigh is the right organisation for them and promoting the volunteer opportunities available. You will be responsible for inviting applicants to assessment days, supporting them with information and guidance and making accurate records and reports of these activities. You will also deliver recruitment event presentations. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a confident phone manner and ability to build rapport with all customers, in particular young people. You will also be able to display excellent attention to detail, strong IT literacy and good team working skills.

Action at Home Officer

Are you passionate about your ICS experience and able to inspire and mobilise others to deliver positive social change in their communities? A great opportunity is currently available within the Volunteer Delivery team to provide effective support to Raleigh’s returned volunteers enabling them to develop, deliver and report on their Action at Home projects and to ensure their successful completion of the ICS programme. The role is also responsible for organising and facilitating at post-placement training events.

The role would suit someone who has first-hand experience of the ICS programme and is keen to support and facilitate others to begin a life of active citizenship. Candidates will have previous experience in supporting or engaging with volunteers or in a customer-facing administrative role as well as excellent written communication skills and an ability to build relationships with volunteers. Previous experience of delivering training would be an advantage.

You will be responsible for developing the content of our leadership training programmes for the International Citizen Service and Expedition programmes. You will also be inputting directly into our new on-line learning platform as well as delivering our dynamic highly participatory training programmes at our sites around the UK.

Head office volunteer opportunities

Trust Fundraising Volunteer

Do you want to develop your skills in charity fundraising? Raleigh International is looking for a proactive and passionate individual to assist the Trust Fundraising Manager for two weeks.

This is a great opportunity to learn about trust and foundations fundraising for a sustainable development charity.

Expected hours/and or timescale: We are looking for someone to volunteer 3-5 days per week. We are looking for someone to start on the 26th July and we would like you to stay with us for a minimum of two weeks. Travel within London and lunch expenses will be reimbursed.

Purpose of the volunteer opportunity: Your role as a volunteer will help make a great contribution to the work of Raleigh International. You will be responsible for researching charitable trusts online and updating information on Microsoft Excel and our database. The research results will be used to inform and implement a trust mailing programme, which aims to increase restricted funding towards Raleigh’s overseas programmes. You will have a real responsibility and place in the team, which is in part responsible for delivering Raleigh International’s new funding strategy, funding projects across our thematic areas and operational countries worldwide to support the delivery of the Global Goals.

Skills required: We need someone who is organised, have an eye for detail and be able to use basic Microsoft office. The ideal candidate would have to be able to use their initiative and be a team player.

Country Programme Manager – Raleigh Borneo

The Country Programme Manager is an exciting and challenging post within Raleigh Borneo’s senior management team. The purpose of the role is to ensure the delivery of Raleigh Borneo’s Country Strategy through effective programme design and development, project cycle management and the diversification of income. Key elements of this role will include the overall management of our SALY-B – Sustainable Alternative Livelihoods for Youth in Borneo programme; supporting and building capacities of national alumni societies; as well as developing a network of appropriate partner organisations and funders, preparing credible donor applications and planning and managing effective monitoring and evaluation of our work.

To be considered for this role applicants must have Malaysian nationality, or have the right to live and work in Sabah, Malaysia.
