Volunteer Coordinator

Are you passionate about Raleigh’s mission and vision and want to pass on your enthusiasm to volunteers? A great full time opportunity is currently available within the Volunteer Delivery team to support Raleigh participants with preparations for their upcoming placements and expeditions.
The Volunteer Coordinator role works as part of a team to support the delivery of the volunteer pre-departure journey. This involves providing a high level of customer service and support to ensure that every volunteer completes the necessary administrative processes and training and is engaged with Raleigh’s mission and vision.
The role would suit someone who is keen to support and facilitate others to participate in sustainable development projects.

Programme Development Officer

The Programme Development Officer will play an important role across three main areas of Raleigh’s Programmes team’s remit. You will be responsible for leading teams (including country, finance and fundraising staff) in the development of new concepts and proposals that meet Raleigh’s strategic objectives. You will support the Programme Development Manager in the delivery of new initiatives in behaviour-centred design, national-youth programming and ways of working, which are vital to the achievement of Raleigh’s new organisational strategy (2017-2020) and evidencing the added value of our model. You will provide a link between head office teams (primarily Fundraising) and country programme staff for the smooth delivery of quality submissions to donors on time and to brief.

We are looking for a qualified Programme Development Officer with

• Demonstrable experience of leading the development of successful proposals and concepts upwards of £50,000 for at least one of the following donor audiences: institutional, trust and foundation, corporate
• Demonstrable experience of leading the development of key documentation that supports quality project design including logical frameworks, theories of change and budgets
• Experience of writing reports for different donor audiences
• Experience in the use of monitoring and evaluation tools
• Demonstrable experience of working on at least one of Raleigh’s priority themes (WASH, Livelihoods, Natural Resource Management)
