First volunteers in Costa Rica for Raleigh's development projects

First 2019 volunteer managers arrive to continue Raleigh’s development projects in Costa Rica

The Raleigh development project in Costa Rica in 2019 consisted of 18 project managers. These project managers were from various countries, including the UK, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. When they arrived, they were super eager for the next 13 weeks. A massive introduction covered their roles, what to expect, a time plan for the 13 weeks, and further information they might need.

Preparations continue on site for the volunteer Project Managers who will lead groups of young volunteers across various project sites, including indigenous communities of the Chirripó region, the Guayabo National Monument, La Marta Wildlife Nature Reserve, and La Cangreja National Park, as well as leading self-navigated treks throughout the mountainous terrain of Costa Rica as part of the expedition’s Youth Leadership program.
