Venturer Manager offer

For over 40 years, Raleigh has been fuelled by the unwavering support of incredible individuals and our dedicated alumni community. A pivotal force in our Expeditions has been the Venturer Managers (formally Volunteer Managers).

We want to express our deepest gratitude to each person who has been part of this incredible journey, some contributing to multiple Expeditions. The dedication and commitment of our Venturer Managers have been the driving force behind Raleigh’s impactful initiatives, and we are sincerely indebted to every one of you.

Recognising that these roles demand not only a significant financial investment but also a considerable amount of time out of full-time employment for many VMs, we initiated a campaign this summer as part of our 40-year celebration. Offering positions with only a £200 deposit, we witnessed a surge in applications from passionate individuals eager to contribute to our mission.

Considering the evolving landscape of our organisation and our commitment to inclusivity, we have decided to make a transformative shift. Effective immediately, we will no longer charge for these invaluable Venturer Manager positions.

VMs can secure a space on Expedition with a £200 deposit only

In addition to this change, we are adding another option for Project Coordinators to join us on Expeditions. Currently, our Project Coordinator roles are 11 and 12 weeks long.

We are now introducing limited spaces for a 9-week Expedition for Project Coordinators starting from this Summer (Cycle 2). You will join the Expedition along with the 12-week PCs, undergo the 2 weeks of training and take part in 2 full phases before returning home.
